With the move of Humboldt State University's Natural History Museum to a new location, the remaining building, originally a bank for Wells Fargo, has received a facelift to house the new Arcata branch of Redwood Capital Bank. The old drive through has been rebuilt and since the commercial services no longer need the light protection that the museum required, large windows have been added back to the south and north facades. The close association between Redwood Capital Bank and the Natural History Museum will allow for a number of the Museum's displays to remain in the bank, including the existing hanging figure of a great white shark and the quetzacoatlus, a relative of the pterodactyl.
