A Coffee & Chocolate Pairing on the Waterfront

NESHAP.jpg

Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate has closed escrow on their future home! The beautiful, old building, which is located in the heart of Old Town Eureka on the boardwalk, has been through many iterations (including as an opera house and dance hall!) and dates back to the late 1800s. KBA has been working with Dick Taylor to restore the property, that has been vacant for a few decades, to the gem that it once was.

Eureka is Considering Building Housing Over Unused Parking Lots

Old City Hall Housing_Rendering 1.jpg

There isn’t much space left to build new housing in Eureka, so the city is considering using its parking lots to build housing projects. Four under utilized city parking lots could be done away with and turned into housing, while six other lots could continue providing parking but have housing built above them. KBA produced a prototype of what a housing project, that preserves the parking lot underneath, could look like back in 2019. Currently, several of these lots are under consideration for development.
