Northcoast Children's Services (NCS) is a private non-profit corporation, serving children and families with nurturing educational and recreational opportunities. NCS administers Head Start, California Child Development Centers, Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention, and other programs. The design meets the needs of a complex user group with a variety of program functions. This building brightens and repairs the urban fabric of a rather industrial area adjacent to Arcata's downtown.
