COMPLETED: 2011

Renovations of the Worthington Elementary School bring life back to a building left unused for many years.  The core of the project includes: new toddler-sized bathroom facilities in existing classrooms, accessibility upgrades to the existing restrooms, parking lot and walkways, creating two new playgrounds and exterior color studies.

Upon arrival in the morning, the fun and bold new color palette greets preschoolers and teachers and makes the building an eye-catching landmark in the neighborhood.  Most of the existing asphalt in the outdoor play areas has been replaced with wood chips, grassy mounds, sand, redwood stumps, river rock and pea gravel to provide exciting textures, sounds and learning experiences for the curious children.
